Barcelona-based startup Health Force has secured €4.2 million in a new funding round. The investment was supported by LUMO Labs and Target Global, the latter having previously backed the company at the pre-seed stage. The capital will be used to expand the company's catalog of AI agents, grow engineering and delivery teams, and enter the German, French, and Spanish markets.

Founded in 2022 by Fadi Haddad and Dr. Juan Suárez, the company develops AI agents designed to automate administrative tasks in hospitals. These agents operate within existing hospital systems using their own credentials to manage processes such as insurance claims, prior authorizations, and regulatory reporting. The platform is built on a deterministic-first architecture to ensure all agent actions remain fully traceable.

The company currently operates from headquarters in Barcelona and an operations hub in Milan. Its technology is deployed across major Italian hospital groups, including Humanitas and Gruppo San Donato, processing over 200,000 patient cases annually. Additionally, the platform is utilized for quality reporting in Portugal and is slated to support KHVVG reporting requirements in Germany in the future.

According to Health Force, its agents complete three out of four tasks autonomously without human intervention. For the remaining cases, the agent prepares the necessary data for staff review, which the company claims reduces resolution time. The platform aims to address operational backlogs and staffing shortages by automating repetitive workflows across fragmented European healthcare systems.
