The A101 Group has selected two AI-based solutions, Contextmachine and AI Diagnost, to automate the design of reinforced concrete structures. These tools were chosen during the Techlab Moscow program, organized by the Moscow Innovation Cluster, which saw participation from 50 teams out of over 1,200 applicants.
Contextmachine focuses on optimizing steel consumption by generating reinforcement schemes based on structural load calculations. According to CTO Andrey Astakhov, the service reduces the processing time for a standard building block by 3 to 7 days, compared to the 4 to 7 days typically required for manual design.
AI Diagnost automates the selection of reinforcement bars by analyzing load maps to determine the precise diameter and length of elements. The system aims to eliminate the need for manual over-engineering, potentially reducing steel consumption by 15 to 25 percent. The company is currently verifying these results using the developer's historical project data.
The integration of these AI tools is intended to accelerate the production of construction documentation and minimize material waste. The A101 Group plans to incorporate these developments into its standard operational processes, signaling a shift toward adopting specialized AI applications in large-scale construction.
