Dmitry Golubnichiy has joined the Yandex Alice AI team as the head of product development. His primary focus will be improving the quality and efficiency of Alice in multi-step scenarios, as well as managing AI safety and corporate data security.
The company aims to integrate Alice more deeply into Yandex 360, the browser, and other corporate services to enhance its utility as a professional tool. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to expand the assistant's capabilities for daily business tasks.
Golubnichiy previously spent 12 years at Yandex working on browser development. Later, he served as CTO at Sidekick for over four years, a startup acquired by Perplexity in May 2025. At Perplexity, he led the development of the Comet AI browser for 1.5 years.
