Wildberries has integrated a new payment method allowing customers to use state-issued electronic certificates for purchases. This system enables recipients of federal and regional social support programs to buy eligible goods directly through the marketplace platform.
The service currently supports electronic certificates for technical rehabilitation aids issued by the Social Fund of Russia. Additionally, the platform accepts regional certificates for newborn supplies in the Kaliningrad, Leningrad, Rostov, and Sverdlovsk regions, as well as the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
To complete a purchase, users select qualifying items and apply their certificate. If the product price exceeds the certificate value, the customer pays the difference. Funds are held by the Federal Treasury and transferred directly to the seller upon transaction completion.
The company intends to increase the number of supported social programs and expand the geographic availability of this payment option. This initiative aims to broaden the range of products accessible to citizens through government support measures.
