Star-Chip Space Technology recently held a ceremony to mark the deployment of the first eight satellites from the second group of its Star-Compute project. The event took place at the company's satellite computing innovation base in Taizhou.

The company developed these satellites internally. They have successfully passed all required tests conducted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. The satellites are scheduled for launch in the near future and will join the existing first group of satellites in orbit to form a network.

The Star-Compute project aims to create a future computing network consisting of 2,800 satellites. The first group of satellites was launched on May 14, 2025, establishing the world's first space computing constellation. The second group was officially announced on October 13, 2025, signaling a shift toward large-scale deployment.
