Sferical AI has officially launched Sferical One, a shared supercomputer designed for industrial applications in Sweden. The system is powered by 1,152 Nvidia GPUs, distributed across 16 Nvidia DGX GB300 units integrated into two Nvidia DGX SuperPODs. Although the official launch occurred on October 15, 2026, the hardware has been operational since late summer 2026.

The project is supported by major Swedish corporations, including founding partners AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Saab, SEB, and Wallenberg Investments, with SKF participating as a strategic partner. These companies aim to utilize the infrastructure for tasks such as drug discovery, telecommunications, and predictive maintenance, while leveraging Nvidia’s open-source Nemotron models.

The partnership originated in May 2025 following an announcement by Marcus Wallenberg and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at Linköping University. Beyond providing hardware, Nvidia is collaborating with local partners to establish an AI Technology Center in Sweden. The initiative focuses on providing domestic companies with secure, scalable, and sovereign AI computing resources.
