SpaceX has unveiled a new visualization for its Starmind project, which aims to deploy a massive orbital constellation of up to 1 million satellites. The company intends to transform this infrastructure into a distributed computing network specifically designed for artificial intelligence workloads.

According to SpaceX Vice President Michael Nichols, the system will rely on clusters of approximately 10 satellites each. These units will be interconnected via communication channels capable of reaching a total bandwidth of 10 Tbps, allowing for efficient data processing across the orbital array.

The architecture is designed to distribute computational tasks across the entire constellation, creating a scalable environment for AI models. To manage orbital traffic and prevent collisions, the company has also introduced a free service called Space Safety for sharing orbital data.
