Elon Musk has regained the status of a dollar trillionaire following an 8% increase in SpaceX stock price, which reached $171 per share. This growth was driven by Morgan Stanley analysts raising their price target for the company to $300, citing prospects in both aerospace and AI sectors.
Currently, Musk's net worth is estimated at $1.03 trillion, largely supported by the market capitalization of Tesla. Analysts note that within the current SpaceX share price, $32 is attributed to AI-related business, while the remainder reflects aerospace and telecommunications operations.
The company's valuation may see further growth following the upcoming Starship test flight. If the mission successfully demonstrates the capture of the reusable launch vehicle upon return to Earth, it could mark a significant milestone for the business since its IPO in June.
SpaceX has secured over $12.7 billion in revenue from defense contracts to date. Additionally, Elon Musk has been appointed to the Project Meridian initiative by the Pentagon to help identify future military technology requirements for the United States.
In a recent move, Musk announced plans to rename his AI startup from SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI. This decision follows a directive from Donald Trump requiring the replacement of the term 'artificial intelligence' with 'superintelligence' in official government documentation.
