Tesla has unveiled a redesigned version of its next-generation Roadster, featuring a new aesthetic inspired by the Cybertruck and aerospace technology. The vehicle incorporates cold-gas thrusters, which utilize carbon-fiber overwrapped pressure vessels to store compressed gas, and an active fan system designed to generate significant downforce.

The updated Roadster is available in three configurations, though Tesla has not disclosed pricing or a definitive production date. Elon Musk mentioned 2028 as a potential timeframe. The vehicle now features a two-seat layout, with the Rocket trim offering a top speed exceeding 230 mph and a range of over 300 miles.

Tesla has reopened reservations for the model, requiring an initial refundable deposit of $5,000 followed by an additional $45,000 within 10 days. The company noted that the Rocket trim is not currently approved for public road use, and the thruster-equipped versions are intended for specialized performance applications.

The engineering design includes magnesium, titanium, and carbon fiber components, with active wings powered by actuators developed for the Optimus project. The vehicle's exterior utilizes Ano White paint, and the interior features a steer-by-wire yoke system alongside a center touchscreen and two driver-side displays.
