Reflex, a startup specializing in AI-driven custom business software, has secured $14 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Standard Capital, with participation from Databricks Ventures, Y Combinator, Lux Capital, and Abstract Ventures. This latest injection of capital brings the company's total funding to $19 million.

The platform enables enterprises to replace generic third-party software with bespoke applications tailored to specific operational workflows. Reflex allows for deployment in public clouds, on-premises data centers, or air-gapped environments. The company reports that its revenue has grown more than 10 times over the past year.

The startup was co-founded by CEO Nikhil Rao, formerly of Apple and Drive.ai, and CTO Alek Petuskey, who previously worked at NASA and Ancestry.com. The project originated as an open-source Python framework, which now boasts nearly 30,000 GitHub stars and 400,000 monthly downloads, with over a million applications deployed globally.

Major organizations, including Amazon, Walmart, The World Bank, and Dell Technologies, utilize the platform. Dell specifically deployed a server monitoring system built with Reflex for more than 6,000 employees. The startup plans to use the new funding to expand its engineering and sales teams and launch a new product called Workflows.
