Ravical, an AI startup focused on the accounting and tax sector, has secured $17 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by MMC Ventures, with additional backing from Lakestar, Pitchdrive, and Shapers. This latest injection of capital brings the total funding raised by the company to $25 million.

Founded in 2025 by CEO Joris Van Der Gucht, CTO Ken Bastiaensen, and CPO Benjamin Vandermarliere, the company provides a platform that standardizes internal workflows. By converting the expertise of senior professionals into shared processes, the tool allows firms to scale operations without a direct reliance on increasing headcount.

The startup currently serves over 100 accounting firms across Europe. The new capital is earmarked for product development, team growth, and market expansion. Ravical intends to strengthen its presence in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, while also preparing for entry into the US market.

The platform addresses industry challenges, such as the difficulty of recruiting skilled staff and the shift in client behavior. Research by Ravical indicates that 70 percent of UK small and medium-sized enterprises now utilize AI-generated advice independently, bypassing traditional accounting consultations.
