Copenhagen-based startup Plinto has secured €2.9 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by People Ventures and Emblem, with participation from several business angels. The company plans to use the capital primarily for recruitment as it scales its operations.
Founded in early 2025 by former Peakon employees, Plinto develops AI agents designed for financial controlling. These agents integrate with accounting software, banking systems, and communication tools like Slack and Teams to compare transactions against contracts and budgets.
The platform identifies discrepancies and automates error resolution. It allows for human supervision, where agents can suggest actions or draft messages for vendors. The startup currently employs eight people and is managing pilot projects across sectors including logistics, real estate, and food production.
Plinto differentiates itself from general ERP or accounts payable tools by focusing on pre-audit controls. While the company faces competition from emerging startups like Finto and Repodo, it aims to convert its existing pilot projects into long-term contracts.
