Copenhagen-based AI startup Plinto has secured €2.9 million in a funding round led by People Ventures and Emblem. The company, founded in 2025 by Jakob Nielsen, Nermina Suljevic, and Sebastian Rehnby, develops AI agents designed to automate financial transaction monitoring and error resolution.
The platform integrates with existing enterprise software, including ERP systems, banking tools, and communication platforms like Slack and Microsoft Teams. These AI agents verify transactions against contracts and internal policies, investigate discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions such as requesting credit notes or contacting suppliers.
Plinto targets large enterprises that currently rely on manual spot checks or month-end reviews. The company reports that its technology has identified approximately 430 discrepancies per month for a single client and successfully detected duplicate invoices before payments were processed.
The startup currently serves clients across sectors including logistics, real estate, facility services, and food production. With the new capital, Plinto intends to accelerate product development, grow its enterprise customer base, and initiate international expansion beyond the Danish market.
