London-based healthtech startup Emerald has raised €1.66 million in new funding to scale its preventive healthcare platform. The round consists of a €832.1k grant from Innovate UK and an equal amount in venture capital. Existing investors participated in the round alongside new backers Sequel and Highgoal, resulting in an increased company valuation.
Founded in 2024, the company provides a platform that integrates laboratory screening, wearable data, and health history. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission and authorized as a UKCA Class I medical device. Users are paired with GPs for diagnosis and referrals. Emerald has processed over 100,000 lab tests since the start of 2026, reporting a tenfold growth in its member base.
The startup has established partnerships with companies including Pluxee, Epassi, and Yonder to offer its services as an employee benefit. Emerald plans to use the new capital to expand its commercial operations and further develop its AI-enabled technology. The company aims to reach one million members within the next three years.
