Nvidia has expanded its European portfolio by investing in four German startups: Agile Robots, which focuses on AI robotics, Avelios Medical in the healthtech sector, AI audio firm Mirelo, and space technology company Reflex Aerospace. The financial details of these specific deals remain undisclosed.
These investments are part of a broader commitment by the US chip maker to allocate nearly $10 billion across the European technology sector. The initiative targets startups, universities, and research institutions to strengthen the AI ecosystem. Nvidia already maintains stakes in German companies n8n and Black Forest Labs.
The announcement coincided with a visit by CEO Jensen Huang to Germany, where he met with Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Their discussions centered on the national AI roadmap and leveraging Germany's industrial and automotive expertise. The company also confirmed new partnerships with Siemens and Mercedes-Benz.
As part of its European expansion, Nvidia and Germany have launched a joint venture dedicated to promoting advanced AI models for physical applications. This move follows similar investment announcements made by the chip manufacturer in France and the UK during Huang's recent tour of the continent.
