Barcelona-based energy management startup Linkener has secured €7.5 million in a new funding round. The investment was led by the Klima Energy Transition Fund, with GoHub Ventures maintaining its position as a shareholder in the company.

Founded in 2011, Linkener provides an Intelligent Energy Management System (SIGE) that utilizes proprietary remote metering technology. The platform allows businesses to track consumption, digitize utility bills, and receive automated recommendations for cost reduction.

The startup currently manages 10,000 energy supply points and processes 1.7 TWh of energy annually. Its client base exceeds 2,000 customers, ranging from individual professionals to large-scale corporations, and the company has completed over 400 solar and battery storage projects in Spain.

Linkener plans to allocate the new capital toward the development of proprietary artificial intelligence models. These tools are intended to automate bill processing, detect energy anomalies, and identify further optimization opportunities for clients.

The company intends to pursue both organic growth and acquisitions to expand its product portfolio. By integrating new technologies and complementary businesses, Linkener aims to establish a comprehensive platform for energy management and improve market transparency.
