The funding round was led by the Klima Energy Transition Fund, which is part of Alantra. Existing shareholder GoHub Ventures also participated in the investment. Linkener intends to use the capital to scale its operations and pursue an acquisition strategy, targeting complementary businesses and products to enhance its market position.

Linkener provides an Intelligent Energy Management System, known as SIGE. The platform utilizes remote metering technology to help organizations track energy usage, digitize bills, and analyze supply contracts. The system currently manages 10 000 energy supply points for over 2 000 customers, covering an annual consumption of 1.7 TWh.

Beyond software, the company has completed more than 400 solar and battery storage projects in Spain. Linkener plans to further develop its proprietary AI models to automate bill processing and detect anomalies. The company aims to address market demand driven by volatile energy prices and complex regulatory requirements.
