Spanish venture capital firm Enzo Ventures has launched its second fund, Enzo II, with a total of €20 million. The capital was raised from family offices located in Spain, Mexico, and across Europe. Approximately 90% of the investors from the firm's first fund have committed to this new vehicle.
The new fund focuses on pre-seed investments, with initial check sizes ranging from €250,000 to €600,000. This marks an increase from the €200,000 to €400,000 range used in the firm's first €10 million fund, which launched in 2023 and backed 28 companies.
Enzo II has already finalized its first three investments, including a deal with the London-based MedTech startup Cori Clinical. The firm plans to announce two additional investments in startups based in Madrid and Zurich in the near future.
Founded in 2020 by Edgar Vicente and Ivan Fernandez Lucas, the firm targets early-stage founders from Southern European hubs like Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, and Lisbon. The partners maintain a streamlined decision-making process, personally approving all investments without a formal committee.
