Magical Tome Inc., operating as Lightfield, secured $47 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Coatue, Greylock, Maverick Capital, Audacious, and Alumni Ventures.

The startup is developing an AI-native customer relationship management platform designed to replace legacy systems like Salesforce. The platform aims to provide a structured data environment specifically for autonomous AI agents, which the company claims struggle with the static data formats of traditional CRMs.

Lightfield’s architecture features self-updating records that ingest data from email, calendars, Slack, and LinkedIn. It creates a business world model, utilizes a standardized SDK for agent monitoring, and provides open access via APIs and the Model Context Protocol.

Since its launch in November, the company has acquired over 5,000 customers. According to CEO Keth Peiris, dozens of these clients have migrated from Salesforce to the Lightfield platform.
