Intuit announced the acquisition of Sequence on Oct. 15 to enhance its financial intelligence system. The deal aims to provide revenue management capabilities for mid-market businesses, though the financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.
Sequence provides a platform designed to automate billing and revenue collection processes, replacing manual workflows and spreadsheets. The technology supports complex pricing models, including usage-based, seat-based, and milestone-based billing.
The integration of Sequence into the Intuit Enterprise Suite is intended to support industries such as B2B software and professional services. The platform utilizes AI agents to automate tasks ranging from contract management to revenue recognition.
Ashley Still, executive vice president at Intuit, stated that the acquisition is part of a strategy to deliver an AI-native ERP for growing companies. Sequence CEO Riya Grover noted that the partnership aligns with their goal of creating AI-driven financial workflows.
