Kantata Inc. has introduced Agent Studio, a platform designed for professional services firms to create custom AI agents using natural language. The tool operates within the Kantata Expertise Engine, allowing users to define specific tasks, escalation rules, and output formats without writing code.
The new solution aims to reduce the overhead of repetitive prompt drafting, which the company refers to as a prompt tax. Once configured, these agents can be triggered manually or integrated into automated workflows to handle documentation, resourcing, and time tracking.
The Expertise Agent, launched by Kantata in June, serves as the foundation for this system. It maintains context across the platform, ensuring that outputs remain consistent and governed, which the company highlights as a key requirement for professional services.
Kantata was formed in 2022 following the merger of Mavenlink and Kimble Applications, a transaction led by Accel-KKR. Currently, the company reports that its software is utilized by more than 1,500 organizations worldwide to manage their service operations.
