Google has updated its experimental CC project, transforming it into an AI-powered assistant designed for families and households. The service operates through a dedicated Google account, allowing up to six family members to interact with the agent and share information. Users maintain control over the data they provide to the system.

The AI processes various formats, including PDF files, images, receipts, and text. It aggregates information from Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive to generate daily summaries. The system can track important dates, manage task lists, fill out registration forms, create shopping lists, and assist with weekly meal planning.

The service learns user preferences over time, such as frequently purchased items or favorite restaurants, to improve its assistance. Google notes that the AI does not hallucinate; if information is missing, it requests clarification from the user. The agent does not perform payments or submit forms without user input.

Currently, the experimental service is available only to personal Google account holders residing in the United States. Existing users will receive an invitation to upgrade, while new users must join a waitlist. Google warns that as an experimental project, the service may not always function as intended.
