OpenAI has updated its ChatGPT extension for Google Chrome, enabling the AI to analyze open browser tabs and perform specific tasks. Users can now leverage the tool to gather information across multiple pages, compare product details, and assist with form completion directly within the browser environment.
In the new ChatGPT Work mode, the AI can interact with web pages by filling out forms, sending messages, and downloading files. Additionally, the system provides features for grouping open tabs to help users manage their browser workspace more effectively.
The update also enhances the ChatGPT sidebar, allowing users to access chat history and switch between Chat and Work modes without leaving their current page. The AI can prepare data or draft responses, requiring user confirmation before submitting any forms.
