A PC enthusiast recently shared their experience with G.Skill regarding a warranty claim for a faulty memory module. The user reported that one stick from their 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM kit failed in early September. After performing diagnostic tests, the owner initiated the RMA process on September 8 to replace the defective 32GB Trident Z5 Neo RGB module.
The customer originally purchased the memory kit in May 2025 for $150. Currently, the market price for this specific kit has risen significantly, reaching $1 200 on Amazon, with some price trackers recording peaks as high as $1 300. Despite this substantial increase in value, the manufacturer honored the warranty claim after the user mailed the component on September 15.
G.Skill provides a limited lifetime warranty on its RAM products, though the official terms specify that this coverage terminates if the company designates a specific model as end-of-life. This case highlights the importance of warranty fulfillment in the current hardware market, where component scarcity has led some manufacturers to struggle with standard replacement procedures.
