Melius, a startup founded by former Ramp engineers, has secured $25 million in total funding. This includes a $20 million Series A round led by CRV and a $5 million seed round led by General Catalyst.
The New York-based company initially launched over a year ago as a performance marketing tool. After six months, the founders decided to pivot, scrapping their original codebase to focus on an AI platform for generating creative assets, such as ad campaigns, images, and videos.
Since exiting stealth in July, Melius reports reaching over $1 million in annualized revenue. The platform is now positioned as an agents lab for creative work, allowing users to generate content using natural language prompts.
The startup enters a competitive market that includes players like Higgsfield, which reached an annualized revenue of over $700 million and a valuation of $5.4 billion in August. Other competitors in the space include Krea and Flora AI.
