French fintech startup Cleavr has secured €8 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Varsity, with participation from Kima Ventures, Better Angle, Portfolio Ventures, Kerala, and Financière Saint James. This capital injection follows a €1 million pre-seed round completed six months ago.
Founded by Baptiste Nassoy, Arthur Guerin, and Antoine Grenard, Cleavr offers an AI-native platform for automating invoice tracking and collection. The system manages follow-ups via email, phone, and SMS, tracks payment commitments, and handles dispute escalations. Human intervention is only required for complex cases.
The company reports that its platform helps clients reduce days sales outstanding by an average of 37 percent and increases cash collection by 40 percent. Additionally, the software reportedly cuts the time teams spend on payment chasing by 80 percent. The solution integrates with existing ERP systems within days.
Cleavr is currently active in several European markets and processes several billion euros in invoices annually. The new funding will be used to accelerate product development, expand the sales team, and support the company's growth strategy across the European region.
