Archer Aviation has announced plans to establish electric air taxi networks in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Houston. The company intends to utilize its all-electric Midnight eVTOL aircraft to connect major airports with key business districts across the Texas Triangle, a region populated by over 20 million residents.

The Dallas-Fort Worth network focuses on linking six airports, including Dallas-Fort Worth International and Dallas Love Field, to business hubs such as the 242-acre Frisco Station. In Houston, the proposed routes will connect George Bush Intercontinental, William P. Hobby, and Sugar Land Regional airports to the downtown Thompson Hotel Helipad, with an additional route extending to Galveston.

Details for the Austin network remain limited, with the company confirming connections between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Austin Executive Airport, and various city locations. Archer claims these flights will reduce travel times from 60–90 minutes by car to 10–20 minutes by air.

To support this infrastructure, Archer is participating in the America’s Consortium for Electric Skyways (ACES) project alongside Beta Technologies and Macquarie Capital. The initiative aims to electrify up to 250 air taxi sites nationwide and is currently collaborating with the Texas Department of Transportation to expand regional charging capabilities.
