Apple is shifting its retail strategy to prioritize the renovation of existing locations over the opening of new stores. The updated retail design introduces three primary structural changes aimed at optimizing customer service and product interaction.

The company is reintroducing the Genius Bar concept, replacing large video walls in several stores with dedicated service areas. These new bars will feature an all-wood aesthetic, moving away from the previous Genius Grove design that has been in place since 2016.

New 'Avenue' sections will be added to store perimeters to manage online order pickups and Today at Apple demonstration sessions. These functions, currently occupying central tables and seating areas, will be relocated to 10-foot sections known as bays.

Internal operational protocols are also changing. Staff must now attend morning meetings standing, without devices or beverages. Upon opening, which is scheduled five minutes earlier than the official time, all employees are required to applaud as the first customers arrive.
