Zoomlion has unveiled its new 9DX hybrid tractor at the China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition. The machine features a hybrid powertrain with a capacity of 1,600 hp and an 800V system. It delivers a peak torque of 7,200 Nm and utilizes a continuously variable transmission to manage power output.
The 9DX is equipped with a four-track tank-drive system using 762 mm wide tracks designed to minimize soil compaction. The tractor can reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h on slopes of up to 12 degrees. Its hydraulic system provides a flow rate of 636 liters per minute, enabling the use of heavy-duty agricultural implements.
The company claims the hybrid design reduces fuel consumption and emissions while maintaining the pulling power of diesel engines. While specific battery details for the 9DX were not disclosed, Zoomlion utilizes a modular 800V battery system for its other equipment, scalable from 140 kWh to 800 kWh.
Zoomlion reported strong export performance in recent quarters, with shipments reaching Germany, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates. The exhibition featured over 3,000 exhibitors, highlighting a broader industry trend toward the production of high-horsepower agricultural machinery in China.
