Yandex B2B Tech has introduced autonomous AI agents within its SourceCraft platform, designed to handle tasks such as code development and security auditing. Users can interact with these agents directly through GitLab, VSCode, command-line interfaces, web portals, or messaging apps. The agents operate under individual accounts, managing environments, running tests, and submitting code for review.
According to McKinsey data cited by the company, organizations integrating autonomous agents into development workflows are twice as likely to achieve productivity gains exceeding 20%. On average, these agents reduce development task duration by 11.2% and decrease rework volume by 6.8%. Yandex currently reports that 73% of its developers use AI, with over half of new code generated by models.
The company aims to reach its 75/75/75 goal by the end of 2026, targeting 75% developer adoption, 75% involvement in code changes, and 75% code generation per change. Technical director Ivan Puzyrevsky noted that the platform focuses on scaling existing processes rather than restructuring them for individual agents.
Looking ahead, Yandex B2B Tech plans to launch a unified subscription model. This service will integrate SourceCraft, Alice AI Pro for business, and Yandex AI Studio resources. The initiative is intended to provide centralized management of AI assets across development teams and products, allowing companies to track total AI-related expenditures.
