Yandex with its Alice assistant secured the 13th position in the global ranking of generative AI mobile applications. The report, compiled by the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, utilizes data provided by Sensor Tower for August 2026.
This marks the second consecutive time Yandex has appeared in the top 15 list, making it the only Russian company to achieve this ranking. Yandex surpassed several notable competitors, including DeepSeek, Grok, and Perplexity.
ChatGPT currently holds the top spot in the global ranking, followed by CapCut and Gemini. Other applications in the top five include Canva and AI Gallery. The list also features Copilot, Doubao, Picsart, Dola, Microsoft Edge, Meituan, and Claude.
The study highlights a broader industry trend where generative AI tools are increasingly integrated into mainstream software. These technologies are moving beyond dedicated chatbots to become standard features in browsers, photo editors, and other widely used applications.
