Xpeng has opened orders for its new flagship electric SUV, the G9L, with a starting price of €74,600 in Germany. The vehicle is launching simultaneously across 64 countries, and initial customer deliveries are scheduled for December 2026.
The G9L features an 800-volt architecture and supports DC charging power up to 540 kW, allowing a 10 to 80 percent charge in under 12 minutes. It comes with a 110 kWh gross battery and a standard 22 kW AC onboard charger.
The interior includes Nappa leather seating with AI-controlled adaptive technology, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Entertainment features include a 21.4-inch 3K rear display and a 23-speaker sound system, while the cockpit utilizes a 17.3-inch touchscreen and an 8.8-inch instrument cluster.
The SUV is equipped with Turing AI chips to support the Next Generation Pilot system. The company expects to enable Level 2++ partially automated driving via an OTA update in 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
European production of the G9L takes place at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria, using the semi-knocked-down assembly method. A pre-series vehicle recently completed a 1,324-km test drive from the factory to the Paris Motor Show.
