Great Wall Motor is preparing an extended version of the Tank 700 SUV, which features a six-seat cabin layout. According to regulatory filings from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new model measures 5,445 mm in length, representing an increase of 340 mm over the standard version. The wheelbase has been extended to 3,150 mm.

The vehicle will be available with two plug-in hybrid powertrain options. The first utilizes a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with the Hi4-Z system and a 59.05 kWh battery from SVOLT, offering a WLTC-rated electric range of 190 km. The second configuration features a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The V6-powered model is designated as the Tank 700 GF, marking the debut of a performance-oriented series. Tank brand CEO Gu Yukun stated that the GF badge stands for Great Faith. The company plans to launch this version by the end of 2026. The curb weight for the extended models ranges between 3,396 kg and 3,480 kg.

Interior features of the extended Tank 700 include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The cabin follows a 2+2+2 configuration with captain's chairs in the second row. In September 2026, the standard-wheelbase Tank 700 Hi4-T recorded 850 domestic sales in China.
