Porsche has unveiled the Mission S, a mid-engined concept car that serves as the foundation for a new super sports car platform. The vehicle is designed to sit above the 911 in the brand’s lineup and represents the first step in the company's Sportwagenschmiede '35 strategy.
The exterior design, which Porsche calls Floating Volumes, incorporates elements from historical models including the 911, 959, 917, 928, and GT1. Key features include an active rear wing, fan-like cooling elements, and a continuous lighting line connecting the front and rear.
The interior focuses on a minimalist, driver-centric layout with analog gauges and physical controls rather than large touchscreens. Instead of a dedicated infotainment display, the car uses a retractable smartphone holder with Apple MagSafe technology.
Porsche has confirmed that the new platform will not be electric. While the company has not announced technical specifications, performance figures, pricing, or a production timeline, the concept signals the direction for future high-performance models.
