Xiaomi Auto Vice President Li Xiaoshuang released a video detailing the technical aspects of the SU7 Max top pressure test. The test involved stacking seven vehicles vertically, with the bottom unit supporting a total load of 17 tons.
Under the 17-ton load, the bottom vehicle experienced a vertical deformation of -22mm. After the weight was removed, the deformation recovered to between -1mm and -4mm, indicating high structural elasticity.
The company stated that simulations suggest the structure could support eight stacked vehicles. However, the test was limited to seven units due to height constraints at the indoor testing facility to ensure personnel safety.
The test confirms the vehicle's structural integrity during extreme scenarios like rollovers. The bottom car maintained an intact passenger cabin, with A, B, C, and D pillars showing no significant deformation and all doors functioning normally.
