Xiaomi has officially launched the stable version of its HyperOS 4 operating system in China. The release follows a two-month beta testing phase that began in mid-August. Users of compatible devices, including the Xiaomi 17 series and specific Redmi K-series models, have already started receiving update notifications.
The update introduces two key technologies to the HyperCore engine: advanced load calculation and data pre-loading. Additionally, a new isolated runtime environment has been implemented to optimize resource allocation across all system levels. This iteration builds upon the HyperCore engine originally introduced in HyperOS 2.
The interface has undergone a visual redesign, removing excessive animations and complex elements for a more minimalist look. Early feedback from beta participants highlights improved system responsiveness, smoother page transitions, and the elimination of previous performance lags.
While a global release schedule remains unannounced, Xiaomi has expanded its international beta testing program. The second wave of devices now includes the Xiaomi 15, 15 Ultra, 17T, and 17T Pro. Further updates for remaining devices are expected through the end of 2026 and into January 2027.
