The World and Clock application is inspired by the traditional Japanese Edo-period timepiece known as the Wado-tokei. Unlike modern clocks that divide a day into equal hours, this app calculates time based on the sunrise and sunset of a selected location. It divides daylight and nighttime into six equal segments each, which vary in length depending on the season and latitude.

The latest version 1.2 for iOS is now available on the Chinese App Store, introducing new features such as list mode, map mode, and sunrise/sunset notifications. Additionally, an Android version was released on the Google Play Store on October 2, 2026, for regions outside mainland China. The app is free to use, contains no advertisements, and offers optional in-app purchases to support development.

Users can view time across various global cities, including Tokyo, London, and New York, or add custom locations. The app supports six languages: Japanese, English, Spanish, French, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. It provides both a detailed view for single locations and a map view to compare time and daylight duration across different regions simultaneously.
