The WeChat HarmonyOS application has received an official update to version 8.0.23.33, now available on the Huawei App Gallery. While the official release notes mention general bug fixes, users have identified several functional improvements and interface adjustments.
Key updates include the ability to copy contact details such as nicknames, group aliases, and WeChat IDs. The app now supports merging images and videos when sending three or more items to a contact. Additionally, users can now manage service account notifications more effectively by selecting to unfollow or delete specific messages directly from the feed.
The update introduces enhanced integration with the Xiao Wei assistant, including a floating entry button on the 'Listen' page and new sharing options. Other changes involve UI adjustments for image and video viewing in chats, improved group member management, and new import features for group payment requests.
Furthermore, the app now supports system font weight adjustments for Flutter-based pages like Moments. Users can also customize personalized content recommendations within the ringtone settings and add annotations to content shared via Channels.
