The pre-seed funding round was led by the Düsseldorf-based business angel network IACD, with additional support from individual investors. VUSE XR plans to allocate the capital toward the development of its VUSE XR Hub platform, the expansion of AI-assisted content creation features, and the acceleration of its commercial growth.

Founded in November 2023 by Niclas Matthias and Dr. Paul Matthias, the startup provides an enterprise software platform for industrial and life sciences companies. The VUSE XR Hub converts CAD models, engineering data, and documentation into 3D models, allowing users to build interactive training sequences via AI tools or drag-and-drop interfaces.

The platform supports training delivery through web browsers, mobile devices, and XR headsets like Meta Quest. Current clients include companies such as ZEISS, Hologic, Badenova, Scheidt & Bachmann, WITRON, Sartorius, and the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf.

The company has received several industry recognitions, including the smartXautomation Award 2025, the AI Champions Award 2025 from Baden-Württemberg, and a win at the Black Forest Space 2026 pitch competition.

To support its growth, VUSE XR has expanded its leadership team. Jan Hendrik Degner, formerly of J.P. Morgan and CEWE Group, has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer. Robert Günther, who previously held roles at Meta and Unity, joins the company as Vice President of Sales and Service Delivery.
