Xreal has launched the Aura, a new pair of wired smart glasses running on the Android XR platform and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite. The device relies on a tethered processing unit rather than onboard computing, featuring a 95-degree field of view and Sony Micro-OLED displays with 1200p resolution at 120Hz.

The hardware weighs 95 grams and incorporates audio technology from Bose. Users can connect computers or gaming consoles via USB-C to create virtual multi-monitor setups. The integration of Gemini allows the assistant to provide context-aware support for on-screen content.

The device supports various applications, including the NBA App, Fallout: Factions, and NASCAR XR. Xreal is offering two memory configurations: a 12GB + 256GB model and a 16GB + 512GB version.

Orders are open in the United States, Canada, Japan, and South Korea, with shipping scheduled for mid-November. The base model is priced at $1,279, with a promotional price of $1,099 until December. The higher-tier version costs $1,499, discounted to $1,299 for the same period.
