Russian dealers have started sales of the second-generation Volkswagen Talagon, a full-size SUV produced by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. The vehicles are imported via parallel import channels, as the manufacturer does not officially supply them to the Russian market.

The 2026 model is available in six- or seven-seat configurations and features a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 272 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The powertrain includes a seven-speed robotic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system.

Standard equipment for the imported units includes a surround-view camera system, a head-up display, multi-zone climate control, and a sunroof. The vehicles also feature heated seats for all rows, adaptive cruise control, and an automated parking assistant.

The market entry coincides with a rise in Volkswagen sales in Russia. According to Autostat, 1,400 new vehicles of the brand were sold in August 2026, which is 2.2 times higher than the figure recorded in the same month of the previous year.
