Vocci has launched a smart ring designed for recording meetings and taking notes. The device features a titanium-coated exterior, weighs less than 6 grams, and includes a haptic motor and an indicator light to provide feedback during recording.

The ring is operated via a physical button: a double-tap starts or stops recording, while a tap-and-hold gesture allows users to query the Vocci AI when the companion app is active. The battery provides up to 8 hours of recording time, with a charging case capable of recharging the ring three times.

The companion software organizes data into transcripts, highlights, and summaries. Users can connect to other assistants using the Model Context Protocol. The device is priced at $249, positioning it as a premium option compared to other note-taking hardware like Plaud or Pocket.

Privacy concerns have been raised regarding the device due to its discreet design, which resembles standard jewelry. While the ring includes a recording indicator, it is positioned to face the wearer, potentially making it difficult for others to notice that a conversation is being recorded.
