Hang Ten Systems, an AI startup founded four months ago by former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, has raised an additional $53 million in seed funding. This follows an initial $32 million round closed five weeks earlier, bringing the company's total funding to $85 million.
The latest round was led by Xora, an early-stage investment platform from Temasek, with participation from Mayfield. Other notable investors include Aramco Ventures, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, who serves on the company board.
The startup focuses on AI strategy and software development for large enterprises with annual revenues exceeding $10 billion. Hang Ten currently works with 21 major clients, including Fresenius Kabi, Saudi Aramco, and Siemens Energy, and has secured multiple seven-figure contracts.
Headquartered in Palo Alto, the company employs 20 to 25 people across the U.S., the Middle East, and Australia. Plans are underway to expand teams into Europe and India. The startup utilizes an in-house framework called Hobie to deliver production-ready software.
Sikka noted that the company has already received acquisition offers from large corporations, which were declined to focus on business growth. The startup aims to offer a 10-fold improvement in cost and speed for software development projects compared to traditional providers.
