Tramplin Holding, the parent company of the Irtysh processor developer, acquired a 51% stake in the Russian microelectronics design center Malt System. The deal was finalized on September 3, 2026, with the shares purchased from the company founder, Sergey Elizarov.
Following the transaction, Elizarov retains a 39% stake in Malt System. The remaining 10% is distributed among seven minority shareholders, including Georgy Lukyanchenko, Alexander Monakhov, and Alexey Chernyshov, who each hold 2%, along with four other individuals holding 1% each.
Malt System, established in 2011 at Moscow State University, specializes in processors with its proprietary Malt-C architecture for network traffic processing. The company previously developed the Enceladus processor, designed using 16nm technology, which was intended for network traffic processing at speeds up to 1 Gbps.
Tramplin Electronics, linked to entrepreneur Svyatoslav Kapustin, is currently developing Irtysh server processors based on the LoongArch architecture. In 2025, the company received 1.3 ₽ billion for project development, with engineering samples expected in the second quarter of 2027.
Industry experts suggest the acquisition aims to integrate Malt System’s expertise in cryptography and IP-block development into the Irtysh project. The deal is estimated by market observers to be worth between 300 ₽ million and 400 ₽ million.
