Tesla has officially unveiled the production version of the second-generation Roadster on October 15, 2026, at the SpaceX testing facility in McGregor, Texas. The vehicle features aerospace technologies, including cold-gas thrusters and a vacuum-based downforce system, enabling it to achieve a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 0.59 seconds.

The new Roadster is available in three configurations. The base model features active aerodynamics and a vacuum suction system. The mid-tier version includes perimeter thrusters for flight capabilities and speeds exceeding 370 km/h. The top-tier Rocket version is restricted to track use only and is available by invitation.

The vehicle utilizes a multi-mode fan suction system on the undercarriage to generate up to 2G of downforce. The cold-gas thruster system relies on composite high-pressure tanks holding 600 liters of compressed air at 10,000 psi. The car features steer-by-wire technology and is constructed using magnesium, titanium, and carbon fiber.

Production of the new Roadster is scheduled to begin in 2028. The deposit for the Thrust configuration is approximately $250,000. Elon Musk stated that the Roadster will remain the only manual-control vehicle in the company's long-term production lineup.
