Tesla has unveiled the new Roadster, showcasing the vehicle's capabilities through vertical acceleration, aerial maneuvers, and controlled landings. The updated design features angular aesthetics, drawing inspiration from the Cybertruck and the Lamborghini Reventon, marking a departure from the 2017 prototype.

The vehicle achieves a 0 to 97 km/h acceleration time of 0.81 seconds. It incorporates steer-by-wire, brake-by-wire, and throttle-by-wire systems, alongside an active rear spoiler designed to adjust downforce. The car also utilizes underbody fans capable of generating up to 2 g of downforce while stationary.

Aerial performance is facilitated by ten gas thrusters developed in collaboration with SpaceX. These thrusters operate using compressed air stored in two 600-liter onboard tanks, enabling mid-air maneuvers. The company has confirmed that the production version is scheduled for release in 2028.

Tesla has listed three distinct versions of the model on its website. The Performance trim requires a deposit of $50 000. The Thrust version, priced at $250 000, is engineered for sub-one-second acceleration. The single-seat Rocket variant, which includes flight capabilities, is available exclusively by invitation.
