Tesla has updated its official Roadster webpage with a countdown timer set for October 1. The announcement, accompanied by the slogan 'Go for launch,' features an image depicting four bright plumes and the phrase 'WHERE WE’RE GOING.'

The company has not provided details regarding the start of production or a delivery schedule for customers. The teaser suggests a focus on flight-related themes, though it remains unclear if these elements will appear on a production vehicle.

The second-generation Roadster was originally unveiled in November 2017 with initial delivery expectations for 2020. The vehicle was marketed with a 0–60 mph acceleration time of 1.9 seconds, a top speed over 250 mph, and a range of 620 miles.

Previous attempts to set a debut date for the sports car have not materialized. During an April earnings call, Elon Musk mentioned a potential debut within a month, and subsequent rumors pointed to an August launch, both of which passed without a reveal.
