Tesla announced plans to deliver Cybercab vehicles to customers by the end of 2026. The company currently manufactures these units in Texas, primarily for its internal robotaxi fleet.

During the Q3 conference call, Tesla stated that unsupervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) software is expected to be available to customers by Q2 2027. This timeline creates a six-month gap between the planned vehicle delivery and the availability of the required autonomous software.

The Cybercab model is designed without a steering wheel or pedals. Tesla confirmed that it will not provide customers with access to its internal autonomous software until the second quarter of 2027.

Currently, Tesla's robotaxi operations are limited to specific areas within six cities across two US states. The company has not provided further details on how customers will operate the steering-wheel-less vehicles before the software release.
