Tesla has scheduled the official reveal of the Roadster for October 1, 2026, in Waco, Texas. The event is set for 8:30 p.m. Eastern time. Current reservation holders must confirm their attendance by midnight on September 16, 2026. Invitations are non-transferable and restricted exclusively to those who hold existing deposits for the vehicle.

The company aims to begin production of the Roadster at its Gigafactory Texas between 2027 and 2028. While the upcoming event serves as a preview, it follows years of delays since the car was first teased in 2017. The location in Waco is situated near the SpaceX engine testing facility in McGregor, fueling speculation regarding the potential inclusion of a thruster package.

Performance targets for the Roadster remain consistent with earlier announcements, including a 0-to-60 mph acceleration time of under two seconds and a top speed exceeding 250 mph. Elon Musk has previously suggested that a thruster-equipped version could achieve 60 mph in approximately 1.1 seconds. These specifications are currently subject to confirmation at the October event.

Pricing for the vehicle remains unchanged from previous disclosures. The standard Roadster model is expected to start at $200 000, while the Founders Series variant is priced at $250 000. Tesla has not provided details on new trim levels or confirmed the exact nature of the demonstrations planned for the reveal.
