Tesla has officially designated the upcoming Roadster as the final vehicle in its future lineup to feature manual driving controls. CEO Elon Musk confirmed that as the company shifts its focus toward autonomous technology, the sports car will remain the sole model intended for human operation.
The vehicle incorporates advanced engineering derived from aerospace developments. A key feature is a fan-based suction system located beneath the chassis, which is designed to generate up to 2 g of additional cornering force. This technology leverages expertise associated with SpaceX to enhance the car's handling capabilities.
Tesla claims the new Roadster will achieve a 0 to 60 miles per hour acceleration time of less than one second. The company is positioning the model as its ultimate performance vehicle, pushing the limits of automotive engineering. Production of the sports car is currently scheduled to commence in 2028.
